The Vision

What is the vision?
The vision is Jesus... obsessively, dangerously, undeniably Jesus.
To live in absolute surrender and uncomplicated devotion to Christ.
To know all one can know of God and live to tell of it.
The vision is a people who pray like dying men: with absolute truthfulness, deep confession, beautiful neediness, and groans of the Spirit beyond mere talking.
They pray as if it all depends on God and live as if it all depends on them.
What is the vision?
The vision is holiness that's dangerously pure.
It scorns the good and strains for the best, shaking mediocrity from its cozy little hide.
It's not a holiness to be lifted and carried, but a holiness that lifts and carries them.
This is a people who will lay down their lives for the cause.
A million times a day choosing to lose that they might one day win that great "well done".
This is the whisper of history in the making... Foundations shaking... Revolutionaries dreaming... Mystery is scheming... Conspiracy is breathing...
This is the sound of the underground, the sound of an army that's disciplined, training their bodies and minds into submission. Laying down rights and precious little wrongs, each would take a bullet for the other.
Their tattoos boast: "For me to live is Christ and to die is gain."
Mobile like the wind; they belong to the nations.
They are free, yet slaves to the hurting and dirty and dying.
They love people away from their suicide leaps, relentlessly pursuing even to the edge.
Costly to dispense, beautiful to receive, theirs is a love that disarms and harbors those in its path.
What is the vision?
The vision is Jesus... obsessively, dangerously, undeniably Jesus.
